Mike Harvey

I am an industrial engineer with 20+ years in desiccant dehumidification and an applied AI practice built on production systems running inside my own businesses.

My engineering background runs deep into the field. I started in troubleshooting -- hands-on, inside running facilities -- and moved through design and applications engineering, sales, and operations leadership over two decades. That path took me through food processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, hospital operating rooms, lithium-battery dry rooms, and cold storage: environments where moisture control is not an HVAC afterthought but a process-critical variable with direct consequences for product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. I have engineered systems in 100+ facilities across North America, Europe, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan, including for some of the largest food and pharmaceutical companies in the world.

I hold a BSEE from the University at Buffalo and an MBA, with PMP certification. In 2022 I founded Harvey Consultancy LLC as an independent consulting practice. I am also co-founder of Desiccant Air Solutions, an applied desiccant engineering company. Harvey Consultancy is independent of any product manufacturer.

The AI practice.

The AI work grew from building production systems for my own firms, not from a pivot toward a trend. Verbatim -- live at cmslookup.com -- is a compliance-grade RAG SaaS for Medicare/Medicaid billing: citation provenance, sha256-hashed source snapshots, an SME evaluation loop, and paying customers who depend on its accuracy. I also run a multi-agent AI content pipeline that produces engineering application guides with psychrometric verification built into the QA step, a retrieval-augmented engineering knowledge system over a proprietary library, an AI phone agent for inbound qualification, and autonomous monitoring agents that track defined sources on a schedule.

These are not demos or proof-of-concepts. They are working systems I am responsible for keeping accurate. That is the relevant difference: I advise on AI the same way I built those systems -- scoped, reviewed, traceable, and managed to a finish line.

The credibility the AI practice rests on is the engineering background. Twenty-plus years in regulated, mission-critical environments taught me that a system which cannot prove its answer is not a working system. I brought that standard to AI.
